DR Swiss poised for change of leadership

The long-standing Managing Director and Delegate of the Administrative Board of DR Swiss, Helmut Jäger, is set to go into retirement on 31 December 2010. During his time at the helm, Jäger was able to make outstanding achievements for Zurich-based DR Swiss AG. After founding the company in September 2000, he steered its fortunes, developing DR Swiss AG into a successful enterprise and establishing it on the reinsurance market. "Our very best wishes and our recognition go with him, along with the sincere gratitude of the Administrative Board, the shareholders, and the employees," said Administrative Board President Dr Arno Junke.

Frank Schaar was appointed to the management of DR Swiss AG on 20 September 2010, ready to take up the reins from Helmut Jäger. In addition to his current position on the Board of the parent company, Deutsche Rück AG in Dusseldorf, Schaar will assume the management of DR Swiss as Delegate of the Administrative Board of DR Swiss AG on 1 January 2011.

According to Junke, the Administrative Board is confident that DR Swiss AG will continue to live up to the trust it has earned as a sound and competent business partner under the new management.
